CAGE-FREE DOG BOARDING NEAR BELLAIRE, TX
Overnight Stays Built for Bellaire's Smallest Travelers
Leaving town gets a lot easier when you’re not spending the flight wondering how your dog is holding up. Guests board here in an open, cage-free setting with other small dogs — nobody over 35 pounds — so the pace of the building matches the size of the animals in it. For Bellaire families, that means a quick drive from home and a night your pup spends playing and resting rather than waiting behind a door.
Every stay includes:
- Open sleeping areas instead of crates — soft bedding and blankets to burrow into
- Full daycare privileges, group playtime included, right alongside the regulars
- Nonstop supervision from a team trained to read small-dog body language
How We Keep Every Overnight Guest Safe
Nobody hands over their dog casually, and we don’t treat it that way on our end either. Cleanliness, supervision, and day-to-day care are held to the same standard whether you’re gone one night or two full weeks. When you book, our team walks you through what to pack, how the first evening usually unfolds, and the small things you can do ahead of time that help your dog settle in without a rough patch.
A few things about the building itself do most of the quiet work:
- Power outages don’t shut us down — a generator covers the entire facility, which counts for more than people expect once Gulf Coast storm season arrives
- Heavy-duty climate control paired with exhaust fans keeps air moving through every room rather than letting it sit
- Purification units run on the indoor air continuously, scrubbing what circulates before it reaches the next dog
- Flooring is poured without seams, so there’s nowhere for a mess to hide when we disinfect
- Out in the play yard, a refrigerated cooling plate gives dogs somewhere to flop down and beat the Texas heat
Before Your Dog's First Overnight Stay
No dog boards here without first completing a temperament evaluation — a four-hour visit ($45) that lets our staff watch how your pup handles a group before an overnight is ever on the table. It’s also the single best predictor of an uneventful first night, which is exactly what you want. Call (713) 533-1117 to get one on the calendar.
Every boarding guest also needs to:
- Come in under 35 pounds, using estimated adult weight for puppies
- Have current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella records on file at drop-off
- Be at least 14 weeks old — anyone 8 months or older must be spayed or neutered

Boarding FAQs
What size dogs do you accept?
We specialize in small dogs and accept dogs 35 pounds and under based on their estimated adult weight.
Is boarding cage-free?
Yes! Our boarding is 100% cage-free. Dogs sleep in open, comfortable areas with supervision.
Do you evaluate dogs before boarding?
Yes. All dogs must complete a temperament evaluation before staying overnight to ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone.
Can I bring my dog's food and personal items?
We encourage you to bring your dog’s usual food and medication if needed; however, we do not allow toys or other personal items. We have plenty of toys that the dogs are less likely to be possessive over (and everyone is free to destroy them).
What vaccinations are required?
We require proof of current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations.
What will my dog do during the day?
All guests participate in our daycare program, which includes plenty of playtime and socialization.
How to Get Here
From Bellaire, the drive runs about 14 minutes and 8.4 miles. Start on Bellaire Blvd and get on I-610 N — that first leg is only a mile and takes about three minutes. From the Loop, merge onto I-69/US-59 N and stay on it for roughly 5.7 miles heading toward downtown, then take exit 127B for the TX-527 Spur N. Follow the Spur north and it feeds you straight into the Montrose area; Fairview St is a short drive in from there, and you’ll find us at 902 Fairview St, Houston, TX 77006. Street parking is usually available nearby. Even leaving from the far side of Bellaire near 77401, it’s a quick trip with only two transitions — no surface-street maze, and easy enough to fit in before an early flight.
About Bellaire, TX
Bellaire runs on routine. It’s a small, self-contained city ringed entirely by Houston, with tree-lined streets, short blocks, and a dog-walking culture you can spot on any evening loop through Russ Pitman Park or along the open lawns at Evelyn’s Park. That rhythm works beautifully right up until a trip comes up — and suddenly the dog who’s built his whole week around familiar sidewalks and familiar neighbors needs somewhere else to sleep.
That’s the gap we fill for Bellaire families. Our facility sits about fifteen minutes northeast in Montrose, close enough that drop-off doesn’t wreck your morning before a flight, and built for exactly the size of dog Bellaire tends to have — the ones who’d get swallowed up in a mixed-size boarding kennel. Guests under 35 pounds board cage-free with a group they’ve already met during daycare or their evaluation, supervised by staff who learn names fast. Plenty of our Bellaire regulars started with one nervous overnight and now board without giving it a second thought.
